eChat has been disabled on school networks both by blocking bookmarks from executing javascript: urls. The bookmark will no longer open on these chromebooks.

The original eChat server has also been switched off, so data can no longer be sent or received by the client.

However, if you wish to run your own eChat instance, the code is now open-source and public domain. See the source code (and some instructions) at Github.com/Heliodex/eChat. This website's source code is also available at Github.com/Heliodex/eChatWebsite.

We thank you for all of your support during the short few months that eChat was usable.
